The usual crush of backed up work is probably getting to all of you as much as me, so let's start the year off with a short speed read (Jan 4 - Jan 10):

• Monday: Robbin Harris' Viking Monday brings experimental contemporary jazz (9:30PM)
• Tuesday: Open Mic gets under way for a new season ahead of the upcoming rule change (9:30PM)
• Wednesday: Jazz Student Jam has Almond Leung brings a few hard working musicians to the fore (9:30PM)
• Thursday: Chris Polanco leads this week's Latin Music night (9:30PM)
• Friday: Rickard is back with his original contemporary jazz and a few favorites, with special guest Paulo Levi on sax, Wilson Lam on guitar, and Jack Greminger on the drums (10PM)
• Saturday: Allen Youngblood demonstrates his Caribbean infused musical flare (9:30PM)
• Sunday: Chill out with the pros (9:30PM)

At the moment we're only collecting information from potential applicants that think they'll be up to the (unannounced) standards based on the above. Suffice it to say, it'll be something like "verifiable nontrivial commits to projects with any license recognized by the Open Source Initiative" with the rules subject to change as we work out what seems within the right spirit. Joining does include one free geek drink in addition to the usual discount (ever taste a Blue Screen of Death?).
